TDK Athlete Ambassador Towa Uzawa Appears at One-Year-to-Go Event

A two-day event on the occasions of “1 Year to Go to the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25” took place at Tokyo Dome City LaQua Garden on September 13 and 14 to celebrate the countdown to next year's World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

TDK joined in on the first day with a stage event. Norbert Palanovics, the General Manager of the Corporate Communications Group, talked about TDK’s long history with the World Athletics Championships and shared the company’s excitement as an official partner. He highlighted TDK’s commitment to “supporting the passion and transformation of athletes.”
The event also introduced TDK’s new Athlete Ambassador, sprinter Towa Uzawa, who made a surprise appearance. Palanovics explained, “We chose Towa Uzawa as our ambassador because his journey and determination match TDK’s values.” Uzawa, with a strong sense of purpose, said, “I want to break the Japanese record for the 200 meters” and “I aim to reach the final and win a medal at the World Athletics Championships.”  

They also revealed the competition bibs with the TDK logo that male athletes will wear at the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (WCH Tokyo 25).

With less than a year to go before WCH Tokyo 25, TDK and Towa Uzawa will continue to support athletes and all those who passionately transform and pursue their dreams through various activities.
