4. Reasons for Revision of Projections for Consolidated Financial Results, Dividend of Surplus (Interim) and Year-end Dividend Projections
Looking at the electronics market during the first half of FY March 2027, while demand for ICT-related products such as smartphones was sluggish, demand for products for AI data centers remained robust, significantly surpassing the level of the same period of the previous fiscal year. In the ICT market, sales of rechargeable batteries and sensors expanded due primarily to the launch of new models. In addition, sales of nearline HDD Heads and Suspension Assemblies increased significantly as sales of Passive Components increased, supported by strong demand related to data centers. Under such circumstances, the Company’s performance for the first half of FY March 2027 exceeded the projections announced on April 28, 2026.
As a result of the review of full-year projections in light of the above conditions, the Company has revised its consolidated projections for FY March 2027 from the projections announced on April 28,2026 as mentioned in “1. Revision of Projections for Consolidated Financial Results for FY March 2027” above. Furthermore, in light of the current situation, with regard to the interim dividend, the Company determined a further increase of 5 yen per share from the previous projections to 25 yen per share. With regard to the year-end dividend projections, the Company is planning a further increase of 5 yen per share from the previous projections to 25 yen per share.
(Note)
The above projections are based on information currently available to the Company. Due to various factors, actual results may differ from such projections.
