TDK selected for the first time as a constituent of the Dow Jones Best‑in‑Class Asia Pacific Index
TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) has been selected, for the first time, as a constituent of the Dow Jones Best in Class Asia Pacific Index,. This index is part of the Dow Jones Best in Class Indices, one of the world’s leading ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) investment indices.
The Dow Jones Best in Class Indices is a leading ESG indices provided by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC, one of the world’s most prominent index providers. Based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) conducted by S&P Global, companies are comprehensively evaluated from three dimensions—Governance & Economic, Environmental, and Social—and those who demonstrate outstanding sustainability performance are selected.
The Dow Jones Best in Class Asia Pacific Index comprises leading companies in the Asia Pacific region, with 162 companies (including 76 Japanese companies) selected this year from approximately 600 companies in the region. In the latest assessment, TDK’s score in the Governance & Economic dimension increased compared with the previous year, which TDK believes was one of the factors behind its first-time inclusion in the Index.
TDK will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable future based on the company’s long-term vision, “TDK Transformation: Accelerating transformation for a sustainable future,” while aiming to solve social issues through TDK’s business based on its management philosophy.
