Building a business management structure for sustainable growth in electric components

TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) has decided to further enhance its monozukuri capacity and operating efficiency by creating a business management structure that realizes sustainable growth by reorganizing the relevant manufacturing subsidiaries of Electronic Components Business Company (CEO: Taro Ikushima), which deals with its electronic components.
Details are as follows.
1. Consolidating three subsidiaries in Japan
At present, Electronic Components Business Company has three domestic subsidiaries, but these will be consolidated to enhance its monozukuri capacity by creating an integrated structure that shares each company's production engineering technology and manufacturing know-how.
Moreover, in addition to improving operating efficiency at all locations through this consolidation as well as taking charge of electronic components manufacture in Japan as a major manufacturer that supports the global electronics industry, the Company will further enhance employees engagement and be actively recruiting new staff to all 15 locations of the integrated company, both locally and from outside. These measures will allow the Company to strengthen its sustainable business management so that it can realize sustainable growth. The name of the integrated company will be TDK Electronics Factories Corporation.
