Current state of damage by the flood in Thailand (2nd Report)

TDK Corporation announces the damage to its consolidated subsidiaries in Thailand caused by the flood due to heavy rain since July as follows.
- Update as of October 17
The operation of both the Wangnoi Plant of TDK Thailand Co., Ltd. and the Wangnoi Plant of Magnecomp Precision Technology Public Co., Ltd. are suspended from October 13th for the sake of ensuring safety of the employees although both plants suffered no damage to their facilities or equipment. - State of damage to our plants in Rojana District
Following the 1st report dated October 11, the details of damage done to the Rojana Plant of TDK Thailand Co., Ltd. and the Rojana Plant of Magnecomp Precision Technology Public Co., Ltd. are still unknown, for access to both plants are still not possible.
Due to the flood, both plants are inundated and operation is suspended since October 9th. In view of this situation, TDK started reviewing alternative production sites for products of both plants.
Magnecomp Precision Technology Public Co., Ltd. has moved some of the production facilities in Rojana Plant to Wangnoi Plant.
News about the state of TDK group companies as affected by the flood will be released as soon as revealed. All inconveniences caused to our customers are very much regretted, but we request for customers’ kind understanding.
