- TDK Booth theme: From social infrastructure to the convenience of a smart lifestyle
- Located in Hall 5/5K77
Oct. 1, 2015
TDK Corporation will be exhibiting at CEATEC JAPAN 2015, to be held at the Makuhari Messe venue, Makuhari Japan from October 7 (Wed) to 10 (Sat).
The theme of TDK’s booth this year is "From social infrastructures to the convenience of smart lifestyle.." A great variety of value-added products with the potential to contribute to the progress of the IoT will be on exhibit. In the Automotive Zone, this includes high-sensitivity angle sensors developed through the application of TMR elements, while the ICT Zone highlights SESUB products, and the Industrial Equipment & Energy Zone puts the spotlight on wireless power transfer systems.
A preview of the booth can be found at TDK’s Global website :

The entrance of the booth this year features an impressive life size model of a generator. The TDK magnets used in ultra large wind power generators weigh as much as five tons. From the entrance, the exhibit concourse then flows into four zones.
Among the many points of interest are demos of an eyeglasses type terminal and a heart sensor manufactured using tiny BLE modules made possible by TDK's proprietary SESUB technology. TDK also is promoting non-contact power transfer equipment that makes charging of wearable devices extremely simple and convenient. We highly recommend the related exhibits to your attention.
- Industrial Equipment & Energy Zone
This section of the booth features massive neodymium magnets used in large-scale offshore wind farms, power film capacitors for high-voltage direct current supply systems, and various other products. The lineup for industrial applications includes two-way DC-DC converters ideal for electrical power storage systems, the cold plasma generator element CeraPlas, and non-contact power transfer systems for industrial equipment. - Automotive Zone
In this zone, visitors can learn about a wide variety of sensors including the high-sensitivity TMR angle sensors which utilize TMR elements normally found in HDD heads. Transponder coils that are crucial to the evolution of electrical equipment in the car, and non-contact charging systems for cars are also introduced here. A mock-up of a car provides easy-to-understand information about where parts from TDK are used. - ICT zone
This area highlights developments such as the camera actuator module and non-contact power transfer coil that provide new functionality to smartphones. Semiconductor embedded substrate (SESUB) technology for BLE modules harnesses TDK's innovative technology for incorporating chips directly in the substrate. A 3-in-1 sensor that combines air pressure, temperature and humidity sensing in a single package is also on display, along with a range of other products.
TDK’s booth is located in
Hall 5/5K77, Key Technologies Stage. We look forward to welcoming you at our booth
