MEMS ultrasonic sensor: Pushing the boundaries of AR/VR technology

Augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) systems are increasingly being used in various fields, such as entertainment, education, healthcare, and other industrial applications. They allow users to simulate complex tasks or surgeries in a virtual space. Sensing technology makes it possible for users to have a realistic experience in a virtual space through sophisticated and accurate location/motion detection. Recent AR/VR systems use Time-of-Flight (ToF) for measuring the distance to an object, and ultrasonic sensors are attracting considerable attention.
