The Territorial Career Development Program (TCDP) is designed to enhance the performance, motivation, and professional maturity of potential future leaders. The participants travel to different TDK sites within their region (i.e. Asia, Europe, Americas and Greater China) and have the opportunity to create a strong bond and partnership with TDK members from different sites, cultures, and experience. This program aims to deepen the understanding of the basic methods and principles used in management, develop leadership skills, increase employee engagement, and generally improve our management competencies. The selected participants become able to exercise their abilities in diverse fields and cultures. TCDP prepares talented individuals from all over the world to become the next generation leaders of TDK.
The Global Management Program (GMP) was introduced to develop a leadership mindset among the participants. While gaining coaching skills and learning to improve interdisciplinary competencies, participants also have the opportunity to create strong bonds and partnerships with TDK Network members. GMP was designed to create awareness about the complexity of general management and extend knowledge beyond one's own job function. There are two GMP programs each year that take place on a global scale. During the GMP, participants travel to TDK locations all over the world and develop a deeper understanding of TDK as a company.
The Global Advanced Management Program (GAMP) was introduced in collaboration with world-class business schools like IESE, IMD, and Shizenkan and aims to further increase leadership competencies on an advanced level. The goal of GAMP is to support and empower managers in their transition from Management to General Management and further to higher-level roles, by improving their leadership, strategy, innovation and change management competencies so that they can better manage complex strategic issues. In addition, GAMP provides participants with the ideal opportunity to network, thus creating even stronger personal bonds across the entire TDK Group. GAMP will be offered yearly on a global scale and is specifically targeted and tailored to the training requirements of upper management.
The Global Executive Management Program (GEMP) aims to strengthen top class leadership and executive management competencies for a transition to strategic and innovation management. Taking into account diverse group company cultures, participants learn to introduce change while understanding the stakes, using appropriate levers to overcome resistance. With support from world-class business schools like IESE, IMD and Shizenkan, the GEMP`s unique approach cultivates potential corporate officers and further enriches their skills and competencies.

The Functional IMD is designed for future leaders of TDK Group companies to deeply examine TDK’s philosophy from its point of origin, and visit the place where TDK was established and developed. Since 1997, more than 300 managers have attended this seminar. The participants come from various backgrounds, countries and companies comprising the TDK Group. The Functional IMD is one of the tools we use to develop the passion and motivation of our people: by teaching them why and how TDK was established, the origin of the motto and principles, the future image of TDK, and the values that we hope they will embrace. The Functional IMD also aims to enhance networking and collaboration between experienced professionals of TDK Group. As a critical aspect of the learning experience, participants work on a project topic connected to their job function and present the outcome to higher management.
