TDK Corporation has significantly enhanced and completely redesigned its global website for TDK chip beads. The new website, which is available in English, Japanese and Chinese, offers user-friendly tools to quickly and easily find the components that perfectly meet specific requirements. In addition to enhanced search capabilities, the new web site offers a greatly expanded scope of information on TDK chip beads, including products designed for automotive electronics and applications in the GHz range.

The concept of the new chip beads website is similar to that of TDK’s MLCC and Inductors websites, which were launched in January and July 2013, respectively. The new website for chip beads is the first of three redesigned product sections of what will become a new website for EMC components. The other two product sections to be launched in the coming months are common-mode filters and 3-terminal filters. These completely reworked product websites are a part of TDK’s ongoing efforts to enhance the user experience and offer powerful global access to advanced electronic components. Main features and benefits

 

• Enhanced searches by characteristics
  In addition to regular search parameters such as form factor and rated current, users can also narrow down choices by application and features, impedance value at a given frequency, and various other advanced options.
• Multiple product name searches
  In addition to a variety of search assistance functions, it is now also possible to use wildcards and enter up to 50 product names.
• Cross reference search
  Design engineers can find suitable TDK products that correspond to competitor products. Here, too, the tool can search up to 50 part numbers at once.
• Comparison of products
  The basic technical data for up to five products can be compared in tabular form with interactive graphs for further characteristics. The results of the comparison can be saved as a PDF file for future reference.
• Improved sample request
  With a click on the “Buy Now” button users can determine inventory levels at selected distributors and order samples directly from the desired distributor’s website.
• Enhanced documentation
  Available materials include FAQs on chip beads, a lineup chart for reviewing the entire range of series at a glance, and more.
