The Future of AI
Artificial intelligence (AI) holds the potential to drastically change our lives and the ways we work. However, the large amounts of electricity used by AI is an issue. To solve this problem, TDK is developing technologies that can operate AI using small amounts of electricity.
Compete against AI in rock-paper-scissors!
In this game of rock-paper-scissors, sensors attached to your fingers measure your finger movements, and AI predicts your move so that it never loses. The AI is powered by an analog circuit reservoir AI chip that is able to learn even with low power consumption.

Reservoir computing is AI technology that specializes in predicting the movement or changes of an object. Until now, AI has required prior learning and massive computing power, but the reservoir greatly reduces the amount of computation performed and the effort of learning, achieving AI that is efficient and saves energy.
Neuromorphic computing, which takes hints from the functioning of the cerebrum, is technology that can operate AI with little electric power. By taking action only when necessary, it is possible to greatly reduce the electric power used by AI.
