Behind the scenes of the 90th anniversary renewal
challenged with 'TDK United'

The TDK Museum was established as the "TDK History Museum" in December 2005, in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of TDK’s founding, on the site of the former Hirasawa Plant, which had been built in 1940 at the birthplace of TDK’s founder, Kenzo Saito. Later, on the occasion of TDK’s 80th anniversary, the content of the exhibition underwent a complete renewal in October 2016.

In April 2026, as a 90th anniversary project, TDK carried out a renovation of the TDK Museum and Guest House with the aim of introducing the very latest technology that will support our future society. Centering on the TDK Corporate Communications Group and Akita-Shonai Admin Dept., this renovation involved far-reaching collaboration with the DX Promotion Group, Technology & IP HQ, business companies, business groups, overseas sites, TDK Service, TDK Design, and others. So it really was a manifestation of the “TDK United” spirit, bringing together the overall strength of the entire TDK Group.
